The unusually warm weather had me out at Boundary Bay for a walk along the dyke. The variety of wildlife that you can encounter along such a relatively small stretch of the shoreline always amazes me. An owl crossed our path, but I was too busy trying to photograph the eagles circling above to notice!
The dyke trails are easy to access. Park at the Delta Heritage Air Park and walk straight on to the dyke. If you’re ambitious, you can head east towards Mud Bay Park in South Surrey or you can head west to Boundary Bay Regional Park and Centennial Beach in Tsawwassen.
