I’ve been reading a few posts about telephoto landscapes, so I thought I’d give it a try. What better place to give this technique a try than at the edge of the Pacific Ocean at Black Rock Resort in Ucluelet, BC.

With light fading quickly, I definitely had to use my tripod and 2-second timer to steady my 100-400mm lens. Overall, I’m happy with the shot. I really like how it compressed the rocky outcrops while still capturing some ocean spray to show that they are two distinct black masses of rock.
